Translator's Notes:

^ The key word here was "mono" which is somewhat vague.
In the end standard words such as "one" didn't work very well and made the meaning of the lines a bit muddled so I chose to use "souls" instead.
It may be less literal but it makes the most sense and gives off a slightly more poetic air.
