"A real pinch." That's the phrase
I'd use for situations like this.
I've been suffering
as I wait for a response.

I plan my confessions well in advance,
so they always "fit the scenario."
Although my heart's decided,
my mind's still in a panic!!

When I'm invited by my friends,
HE's suddenly there,
and the normal classroom quickly turns into
a 2-person merry-go-round.

If there's some sort of development,
at least that's a start.
Somehow the word "dramatic"
seems to suit me.

That jerk's brown hair
that I can see through
in the streaming light
seems to coldly (Ah!) hurry me along.

Although I've only called him conceited until now,
just for today,
I'll really be sincere!  So, boy,
turn and look my way.

But!  Though his face seemed
a little more embarrassed than usual,
that jerk's cold attitude tells me
my plan went completely down the drain.

When that happened,
all noise in the classroom just stopped.
When I pass by the man I love
the panic still continues!

I believed his suggestive lines
just like a clown.
Although that was my bravest moment,
I regret it (ah!) 100 times!

It's beyond help. I just can't grasp a single feeling
from that jerk.
Although it's disappointing, I'll just admit defeat
this time.

That jerk pretends he knows my feelings,
even though he doesn't.
I guess it's better for him not to know
that I trusted his feelings!
