Artist: Michiko Naruke

Original / Romaji LyricsEnglish Translation
jibun de kimeta koto dakedo
nagare ni sakarau dake no
chikara ga nakute
I don't have the power
To swin against the stream
But I've made up my mind
dakedo kioku no soko kara
fukitsukeru kaze ga saken da
"me wo sorasazu ni arukidasun da"
Since I have my memories
The calm winds cried out to me (1)
"Don't turn away, keep on walking"
mune no naka surimukeru
omoide ga ima
kiesou na ashita wo terashite
Those memories in my heart
Are slipping out now
And seem to disappear into a shining tomorrow
hikigane hiku koto dake ga
hontou no tsuyosa de wa nai kara
mou mayowasu ni kono michi wo yukou
True power doesn't lay
On just pulling the trigger
I can advance forward and I won't get lost
kono mama tachidomaru yori
miageta sora no takasa ni
akirameru yori
Rather than stopping now
Rather than giving up under the high skies
That I look up to
sugita toki wa sagamete mo
ashita wa dare mo shiranai
aragau koto wa mada dekiru hazu
Even if what passes through here is fate
No one knows what tomorrow will bring
But I'll deal with whatever opposes
aseru kimochi no urade
wasurerarenai
negai wo dakishimeteiru kara
Behind all my lack of patience
I hold onto the hopes
I haven't forgotten
kouya ni onaji me wo shita
yasashii oikaze wo atsumete
yukou koko kara hajimaru mirai e
Faced in the same wilderness
I savor the fair, gentle winds
From here, I advance towards the start of the future
hikigane hiku koto dake ga
hontou no tsuyosa de wa nai kara
mou mayowasu ni kono michi wo yukou
True power doesn't lay
On just pulling the trigger
I can advance forward and I won't get lost

(1) In the original Japanese lyrics, the word "kaze" is written out as "nishikaze" which literally means Western Winds. I believe in Japan this phrase originated from some form of radio code or something... west wind means clear, north wind means cloudy, east wind means rain. This is what I heard, anyway, so don't take me seriously.
