[1] The verb used for "awoken" has additional meanings of "sober up" and "be disillusioned."
[2] Well...Gackt didn't actually say kao (face) here. He said hoho (cheek). But I thought
it was weird to say "pulling your cheek close," 'cause that doesn't make much sense in English. Hence the
change to face.
[3] The kanji used here for the aeru (be able to meet) part of deaeru (er...be able to
meet) implies that the meeting is sort of...foreordained, I guess. Basically, they are destined to meet again.
[4] The same kanji as above is used for the aeru part of meguriaeru (be reunited).
