When, in translating this song, I got to the line "warming up freezing puppies," I wondered if that was some kind of bizarre idiom and tried looking it up. In my searches, I found a Japanese lyrics meaning site, and apparently, Hachimitsu doesn't make any sense to them either. As a result, I stopped worrying about the meaning and just translated the song as it was.
