 This line refers specifically to China's pirating of Japan's giant Gundam statue in Odaiba. The construction of China's knockoff Gundam started in December 2010 in a theme park in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
 On September 7, 2010, near the Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands (disputed between Japan and China), a Chinese trawler collided with a Japanese patrol boat, resulting in the detaining of the Chinese crew members, raising tensions between Japan and China. The eventual release of the Chinese captain by Japan was hailed in China as a diplomatic victory, and the captain was also viewed as a hero.
